The Hellenic Community's Dinner-Dance in 2009 took place on March 28th at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Dublin, on the occasion of the Greek National Day of March 25th. Greek Orthodox Easter celebrations in Dublin. The decoration of the Holy Sepulchral of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation took place on 16th April 2009. The Hellenic Community of Ireland organised a gathering of community members on Easter Day on April 19th.

The Christmas celebration for 2009 took place on Saturday 12th of December 2009, at the Greek School, at the room of the Greek Community behind our church. The programme included recitation of Christmas songs and plays, and of course presents from Santa Claus.

Distribution of humanitarian aid at the village of Alagonia on Mount Tayetos, which was badly struck by fire in August 2007, by Fr Hieremias in May 2008. Fr. Hieremias equipped his mission with funds sent to him by the Hellenic Community of Ireland. The Hellenic Community of Ireland organised a music night under the initiative of Ms Gemma Deery (<a href="https://www.hellenic.ie/gallery/?album=3&gallery=4">see pictures</a>) and fund-raised in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Dublin the amount of 8,000 euro, which was provided for this aid. The Hellenic Community of Ireland wishes to thank its members, Ms Gemma Deery and Ms Dimphne Ní Bhraonain, the Irish Hellenic Society and especially Mr Paddy Sammon, and all the philhellenists of Ireland for their support and contribution.

Visit of the President of the Hellenic Community of Ireland, Dr Thomais Kakouli, to the Junior Minister for Foreign Affairs and responsible for matters of Greeks abroad, Mr Theodoros Kassimis in July 2007. Mr Kassimis supported the Hellenic Community of Ireland with the provision of €8,000, which significantly contributed to the renovation of the Hellenic Parochial School of Dublin in May 2009. The Hellenic Community of Ireland graciously acknowledges the support of Mr Kassimis.

Delivery of amount of approximately €500 in aid of Trocaire at NUIM in January 2007, collected in our Greek Orthodox Church. The delivery was carried out by our priest Fr Tom Carroll and the President of the Hellenic Community of Ireland Dr Thomais Kakouli.

The Hellenic Community organised an open discussion on the topic of "The international economic crisis and developments in Greece". The discussion took place in the Greek School on Sunday 6 September 2009. Two distinguished analysts from Greece were the main speakers of the event: Mr George Karampelias, writer and editor and Prof. Panayotis Papakyriazis, economist, Professor Emeritus at the Economic University of Athens and Professor Emeritus at the California Polytechnic State University.
