This is the official Facebook page of The Hellenic Community of Ireland (HCI) which was established in 1964. HCI is a non-profit association, represents Greeks and Cypriots in Ireland and runs the Greek school, Greek festival and a helpline.
The event in the United Arts Club to relaunch the Irish-Hellenic Society was a great success. We enjoyed a brilliant lecture on Ancient Greek coinage presented by Justin Martin. It was wonderful that H. E. Ambassador Mr George Stylianopoulos of Greek Embassy addressed the society and gave a short speech on the history of greek coinage. Dr Christine Morris, Professor of the Trinity College Dublin Classics gave a reply to the main speaker and spoke about the beautiful collection of greek coins in #trinitycollegedublin on which the design of the original Irish coins were based as chosen by #yates.
