Invitation to a celebratory dinner for the National Greek Day of the 25th of March
Dear compatriots and friends of the Greek community
The Hellenic Community and the Greek Orthodox Parish of the Annunciation are organising a gathering to celebrate our National Day of March 25th. The event will take place at the Belmont Room in O’Connell’s Restaurant in Donnybrook (http://www.oconnellsdonnybrook.com/) on Sunday 24 March at 3 p.m. after the celebration at the Greek School.
The menu will include:
- Seasonal vegetable soup as a starter – served upon arrival at the table
- Main course – a choice out of two dishes and including a vegetarian option – buffet
- Mixed berry compote roulade for dessert with coffee or tea – served at the table
The total menu cost will be €23.50
The drinks will be charged separately at the restaurant bar.
The children’s menu (for children below 12 years) will include
- Brest of Irish chicken goujons and chips or
Castletownbere landed fresh fish goujons and chips or
Penne pasta with cheese and tomato sauce (both ‘on the side’) or
Penne pasta Bolognese - Chocolate brownee with a little ice cream for dessert
The menu will cost €12.5 per child
Please make your reservations by contacting the secretary of the Hellenic Community Mr Chris Lazaris in secretary@helleniccommunity.ie or in 087 629 2365 or reply to this email by Wednesday the 20th of March at the latest as there is a maximum sitting capacity of 90 people and we need to give final numbers to the restaurant. Please indicate if you wish to have the vegetarian option in you main course.

Christmas school celebration
Dear Parents and Friends,
We would like to invite you to the School Christmas celebration this Sunday 16/12, at 1.30 pm
The celebration will include songs and poems. At the end of the celebrations ‘Santa ‘ will give to all the kids of the Greek community a small gift.
The cost is 2 euro per child.
Please let me know if your child will attend to avoid any dissapointment.

Dear Friends
We would like to invite you at our Church’s Christmas Bazaar that will take place on next Sunday 9th December after the Divine Liturgy around 12.30. We would be grateful if you could participate and also donate Christmas treats and cakes.
We would also like to invite you to register as a member of our parish in order to participate at the elections that will take place on the last Sunday of June 2013. The closing date for members’ registration, according to the Church constitution, is six months before the elections, so it is the end of December 2013.
You may find an electronic copy of the Church Constitution in the attached file. Forms for registration are provided by members of our Parish Council.

Greek Classes for Adults
Dear friends,
We are happy to announce that our Greek classes for adults are starting again on Monday 19th November. As per previous years the classes will be held every Monday 6-7.30pm. We are planning a small informal introductory meeting next Monday 12/11 at 6.00 pm to meet the teacher and classes levels.
The first term will start 19/11/2012 and will run until 4/2/2013 (10 week classes) and the cost is 170 euro and includes a complimentary subscription to the Hellenic Community of Ireland.

Ireland – Greece
On Wednesday, November 14, at 7:45 pm, the Greek national team of football plays a friendly match against Ireland at the Aviva stadium, Dublin.
We would like to book tickets for the match from the Football Association of Ireland, but in order to do so we need to know how many tickets to order.
If interested, please send an email by Tuesday, 30/10 to secretary@helleniccommunity.ie with the number of tickets you’d like to book.
The price has not yet been arranged, but will be around 30 euros the ticket
HCI Dinner/Night out – 15/6
Dear members and friends,
We will meet on Friday, the 15th June at O’Connells restaurant in Dunnybrook, (www.oconnellsdonnybrook.com) at 19:00 to say goodbye to our teacher Vaios.
There will be a 3-course dinner and tea/coffee the price of which is 35 euro for adults and 15 euro for children up to 10 years.
